Tonight she met him in a bar

Gave him pleasure in his car

Told she was the only one

She gave him her heart; her life

She gave in, didn’t try to fight

In return he loaned her a gun

She worshiped every word he said

Not carrying if her heart bleed

The feelings she had she didn’t understand

He told her he would take her troubles away

Said the fear and loneliness would fade

To honor his word he gave her contraband

Tonight her family met at her grave

Flowers and tears they freely gave

How this happened they don’t know

A part of their life was stolen

Their hearts have been broken

The man responsible didn’t show
