Is it in the air? Runaway Teenager seems like the top topic of my family recently.

I recently had to deal with this with my teenage daughter and now my brother in law is going through the same thing (but worse).  When they say it takes a village to raise a child, it is never more important than when you are dealing with teenagers.  It is the hardest age and requires the most help!  It doesn’t matter how great of a parent you are, there is still a chance you have to deal with it.

If a teenager runs to your house you should either contact the parents to let them know where the child is and find out if the parents are ok with the child staying, or you need to contact the police.  Either way is better than just letting the child stay with you.

It takes a village…so be part of the solution and not the problem.

Rant over…
